Famcor tops ABC Sponsors Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Ricky Martinez, Jun Cheng and Art Figueras combined for 2523 as Famcor Glassworks ruled the opening of the Architects Bowling Club’s Sponsors Cup with Figueras winning the bowler of the week plum with 936 pinfalls at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Crown Pipes, composed of Francis Figuracion, Figueras and Cheng, rolled 2515 to place second while Violy Magsakay, Malou del Rosario and Dante Manglicmot of Firefly Royu wound up third with 2447 in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Meanwhile, ABC president Noel del Rosario is inviting all licensed architects to join the event held every Tuesday as ABC braces for its 34th anniversary bash in Boracay in May.

The tournament, backed by Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, Unitec Pipes, Philflex Wires and Cables, August Alliance, DN Steel, Duraflex, Emerald Pipes, Moldex Pipes, ProActive Pest Control, Miraga Trade, Eurodach Roofing, ABC Phils., Concrete Ventures, Supreme Steel Pipes, Homeworks, HCG Phils., Morning Sun, Atlanta Pipes and American Wires, resumes at 7 tonight with the second week of the Sponsors Cup, also at the Green Valley lanes.
