Magnolia chessfest up March 5
MANILA, Philippines - The 38th edition of the first Saturday-Magnolia Beverages rapid chess tournament will be held Saturday at the Perez Bldg., Dona Soledad St., cor. Australia St. Better Living, Paranaque City.
The tournament is open to all untitled and rated players with club rapid rating of 1950 and below.
Titles to be disputed are the seniors, college, high school, elementary and female.
The event is organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club, headed by Bong Perez, and sponsored by NCFP sec-gen and Tagaytay City Mayor Bambol Tolentino, Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Vice Mayor Gus Tambunting, Rep. Roilo Golez, Councilor Benjo Bernabe, Brgy. Chairman Jun Virata, Hector Tagaytay of Filway Marketing, Anthony Torres of Yazaki Torres, Boy Francisco, Olive Juico de Guzman, Magnolia Health Drinks, Shakey’s Pizza, Jollibee, KFC, SM Bicutan Branch and Hi-Smart Multivitamins+Zinc+Taurine.
Registration fee is P250 (regular) and P150 (kiddies).
