MANILA, Philippines - Globe Run for Home 2011 officially opens its online registration for all running enthusiasts and aficionados to join one of the biggest running events in the country. Starting Feb. 21 until March 15, participants may register online via www.globe.com.ph/run.

Register online and choose your race category and paraphernalia. Registration fees per category are: P650 for 3K, P750 for 5K, P850 for 10K, P950 for 15K and P1,050 for 21K. The registration fee entitles runners to their race singlets available in various sizes, D-tag race chip, race bib number, runpix analysis, downloadable photos and finisher’s medal for those running the 21K category. Group runners are encouraged to join with a special treat: a group of 4 runners in the same category can bring in a 5th member for free.

Online registrations can be paid through credit card. Those who want to pay in cash can proceed to the Run for Home 2011 physical registration booth at the 4F Cinema Lobby of Greenbelt 3 in Makati City which will open on Feb. 28. Race kits of runners paying in credit card will be delivered to their respective addresses while those paying in cash may claim their race kits at the physical registration booth from Feb. 28 to March 20 from 12nn - 8pm.

A unique feature of this year’s Run for Home is having more beneficiaries to the race proceeds. Globe partnered with four major institutions to help build shelter for the underprivileged communities, abused children, and nature conservation. These include: Gawad Kalinga, Habitat for Humanity, Virlanie Foundation and Haribon Foundation. Information about each partner-institution can be found in www.globe.com.ph/run.
