Villanueva, Fajardo rule beach volley

-

MANILA, Philippines - Amanda Villanueva and Rossan Fajardo of College of St. Benilde came back from a first set loss and defeated the Letran duo of Jane Espelita and Mharu Burce, 21-14, 14-2, 17-3, to rule the PCSO Metro Manila Women’s Inter Collegiate Beach Volleyball Series at the Cantada Sports Center in Taguig City last weekend.

The CSB spikers recovered from a lackluster start to turn back their rivals and pocket the top prize in this event supported by PCSO, Mapecon Pest Control and Toyota Balintawak and organized by Joe Cantada Sports.

Philippine Volleyball Federation officials were on hand to help in running the event which served as one of the venues in the selection of future members of the national teams.

“We believe we have found some potentials from the finalists as well as from the eight schools which participated in this event,” said Edgardo “Tito Boy” Cantada.
