MANILA, Philippines -Cebu runners to compete in SM 2 SM run for a cause

Organizers are allotting 2,000 slots for the race, including 500 runners for 21K, 700 for 12K and 800 for the other categories.

The run will start and end at the north wing of SM City Cebu. It will pass through the South Road Properties going to the property of SM Prime Holdings where a new SM mall will soon rise.

Other events on tap are 3K and 6K and a 6K and 12k Radisson Blu Hotel couples category.

Registration is ongoing at the Center for Sight in Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital, SAPPRO Office at the Cebu Doctors’ University, Aldo Goodyear Servitek in Basak, Mandaue City, and at the first level of the Northwing fronting BDO.

Fee is pegged at P500 for 21K, P300 for 12K, and P200 for 6K and 3K. Proceeds will help fund the charity works of Run for Sight Foundation, Inc.

The top three finishers in the half-marathon (men’s and women’s divisions) will receive P30,000, P25,000 and P15,000, respectively, while the top three placers in the 12K run will get P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000, respectively.

All 21K finishers will also receive a medal from the Run for Sight Foundation.

The run will feature the 12K and 6K Radisson Blu Hotel couples category.

Meanwhile, the winning couple in the 6K run will receive a gift certificate for an overnight stay for two with breakfast at Radisson Blu Hotel. The second and third placers will get a dinner and lunch buffet, respectively, at Feria of Radisson Blu Hotel.

The winning couple in the 12K run will get an overnight stay for two with breakfast at Radisson Blu Hotel plus P3,000 worth of SM Gift Certificates.

The awards rites will be held at the Northwing Atrium where premium items from mall tenants and other sponsors will be raffled off. All finishers will receive an eco-friendly goodie bag from SM City Cebu.
