Top breeders clash in NCA fifth derby

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds its fifth derby tonight with the country’s leading breeders fielding in their top entries at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Rep. Iggy Arroyo and Osang dela Cruz head the cast in the event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor and hosted by Manny and Armand Santos. Others in the fold are Gerry Ramos, Elmer Nepomuceno, Rene Medina, Manny and Armand Santos, Bebot Roxas, Ruel Ricafort, Jun Santiago, Rudy Albano, Jimmy Ang, Efren Canlas, Gov. Ito Ynares, Jun Topacio, Jun Mendoza, Boyet Joson, Danny and Joel Teves, Patrick Antonio, Romy Lim, Ricky Magtoto, Eric dela Rosa, Mario Villamor, James Uy, Eddie Gonzales, Bong Carreon, Ellan Nagaño, Pete Ison and Ramon Preza.

The top six in the ongoing NCA circuit are vying for the Cocker of the Year, headed by Goldquest Champions and against All Odds with identical 16 points. SF San Roque has 14 1/2 points while IMAX and Rizal Red Creek tote 11 1/2 and 11 points.

Meanwhile, the next NCA derby will be held Feb. 15 and 22 with Bebot Roxas and Ruel Ricafort and Homer Mercado as hosts.
