Br Benedict Cup slated Feb. 28

MANILA, Philippines - A first-to-pay basis will be implemented because of limited slots of only 180 as registration are now open for the eighth Br. Benedict Cup hosted by the De La Salle Alumni Association at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club on Feb. 28.

The Br. Benedict Cup is the second stop of the seven-leg La Salle Centennial Golf Tour, following the successful staging of the Br. Alphonsus Bloemen Cup held last Jan. 31 at Sherwood Hills, with the LSGH as host.

Entry fee is P2,700 (P1,500 for Forest Hill members), inclusive of green fee, tournament fee, use of golf cart, buffet lunch, giveaways and door prizes, raffle, two mulligans and a special game-improvement string.

Participants will compete for trophies and valuable prizes in six divisions – Class A, B, C, D, seniors and ladies. The tournament is named in honor of the late Br. Josiah Benedict Lidinsky.

The Br. Benedict Cup is presented by Smart, Manila Beer and Banco De Oro with Grand Metro Lorenzo Corp. of Panday, Citimotors, Banana Boat and First Gas Corp. as major sponsors.
