Harbour-R2 keeps crown in La Salle alumni caging

MANILA, Philippines - Renren Cayetano hit a triple with 20 seconds left as Team Harbour Centre-R2 La Salle pulled off a 65-61 victory over La Salle-Dasmarinas to keep its seniors crown in the La Salle Alumni Basketball League tournament at the La Salle Greenhills Sports Arena recently. 

Former slamdunk champion Johnedel Cardel, Mikee Romero and Mac Bautista backed up Cayetano, who suited up for UP in the UAAP, as they combined for 45 points. Cardel sizzled with 18 points while Romero, who co-owns the AirAsia Philippine Patriots in the Asean Basketball League (ABL), tossed in 15 points and Bautista added 12 points.

Other members of the team were B-Meg coach Jorge Gallent, Rain or Shine assistant coach Caloy Garcia, Ginebra assistant coach Juno Sauler, Joseph Pagulayan, Zito Amistoso, Anthony de Leon, Alvin Antonio, DaxBulaon, Jun Coronel, Chris Ryan Cruz, Carlo Franco, Ferdie Lagman, Andre Santos, former DLSU UAAP captain Rafa Dinglasan and Jomatime Silva.

Team LS-Dasma was led by former pros Joey Sta. Maria and Erick Reyes.

The annual event, hosted by the La Salle Greenhills Alumni Association, was organized by Tonichi Pujante.
