NCA holds derby at Ynares Sports

MANILA, Philippines –  The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) will hold another blockbuster derby on Feb. 8 with another banner field vying for top honors at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Hosted by Manny and Arman Santos, the upcoming event comes on the heels of the successful derby hosted by Vice Mayor Cipriano Violago and leading breeder Bebot Uy last Feb. 1.

Gerry Ramos’ “Against All Odds” and Aldo Mercado’s “ASG Aldo Amenic” dominated the Feb. 1 event, finishing with 4 1/2 points.

Danny Teves’ “Tiffany 4-Cock Feb. 10 Valentines Derby” and Mario Villamor’s “Phoenix” shared third place with four points.

Cong. Iggy Arroyo, Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz, Gerry Ramos, Elmer Nepomuceno, Rene Medina and Manny and Armand Santos head the early roster of breeders competing in next week’s derby.

Others in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, are Bebot Roxas, Ruel Ricafort, Jun Santiago, Rudy Albano, Jimmy Ang, Efren Canlas, Gov. Ito Ynares, Jun Topacio, Jun Mendoza, Boyet Joson, Danny and Joel Teves, Patrick Antonio, Romy Lim, Ricky Magtoto, Eric dela Rosa, Mario Villamor, James Uy, Eddie Gonzales, Bong Carreon, Ellan Nagaño, Pete Ison and Ramon Preza.

Meanwhile, the next NCA derby will be held Feb. 15 to be hosted by Bebot Roxas and Ruel Ricafort, and Homer Mercado and friends.
