Orcollo rules Derby City Classic 9-Ball

MANILA, Philippines - Dennis Orcollo captured the 9-ball title of the 13th Annual Derby City Classic Saturday at the Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana, USA.

Orcollo, winner of 2008 Qatar Open 9-Ball Championship and 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games 9-ball billiards gold medalist, routed Shane Van Boening of the US, 7-1, in the much anticipated finals of the derby pool showdown.

The top player of Bugsy Promotions billiards stable of Perry Mariano who just celebrated his 32nd birthday, Orcollo crushed Mika Immonen of Finland, 7-1, in the semifinals to arrange the finals match against Van Boening, the 2007 US Open titlist and Predator 10-ball champion who edged Niels Feijen of Holland, 7-6, in the semis.

 Orcollo’s stint was backed by Accel, Malungai Life Oil and Bugsy.
