MANILA, Philippines – Kings Montessori crushed St. Francis of Assisi and St. Dominic Savio ripped Las Piñas College in high school matches at the resumption of the third UCLAA basketball tournament at the San Andres gym.
Kings rode on a blistering third quarter in drubbing St. Francis, 97-82, while St. Dominic outclassed LPC, 102-47. The Las Piñas College varsity team, on the other hand, edged fancied Philippine College of Criminology, 79-76.
In an earlier playdate, the juniors team of St. Dominic rapped National College of Business and Arts, 101-81, seizing a 28-12 first quarter lead and never looking back.
Kings Montessori plastered Las Piñas, 106-90, behind a strong second quarter run.
St. Dominic beat Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, 75-69, in the lone senior match.
Yesterday’s matches pitted St. Francis vs PCCR at 10 a.m., and Las Piñas vs University of the East at 11:30 a.m. in the junior division and PCCR against St. Francis in a seniors game at 1 p.m.
