4 entries pace World Slashers

MANILA, Philippines –  The World Slashers Cup 8-cock invitational derby winds up with the staging of the finals starting at 10 a.m. today at the Araneta Coliseum.

Former WSC champions Jorge Torres-2009 (SSR Kaizen GTO), Patrick Antonio-2007 (Sagupaan B-50), Boy Marzo-2005 (BM Bulalayaw JDL) and Ludy Lazarte-1992 (LAF Casablanca) scored four points apiece to lead the elite roster in the event hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, co-presented by B-MEG and sponsored by Thunderbird.

Also posting clean slates in the last semis matches are Gerry Ramos (Against All Odds-2), Lawrence Wacnang (Crowsland), Mayor Jose Panganiban (Oxford Princess Casino 5-Cock), Ren Castro (Salapan-Princess Cyrene), Doc Ayong Lorenzo (FRB Excellence) and Cockfights Magazine publisher Wilvin Sy (AH-Luck Dolores).

Gunning for their first title in the event, which drew a record 275 entries, are Sonny Lagon (TLY Cebuwaii-1 Cobra San Lorenzo), Marvin Rillo (Marvin Aces), Baba Yap (BAY PMan Jerico Bohol) and Mar Gatmaitan (Warrior’s Way).
