Mt. Malarayat holds Chair Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Over 200 players see action in the 13th Mt. Malarayat Chairman’s Cup which gets going on Jan. 22 at the Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City, Batangas.

Batangas Rep. Mark Mendoza and Toti Leus, winners of the low gross and net crowns in the last two years, respectively, both go for a three-peat as they lead the field in the one-day tournament held in honor of the club’s chair Antonio Turalba Sr.

The event also serves as a fund-raiser for the 30 scholars of the Hilario & Febres Communities of De La Salle Lipa through the Turalba Foundation.

“The Chairman’s Cup is not only just for the pleasure of the members and guests but also my own little way of helping kids within the Lipa community who want to finish their studies,” said Turalba who put up the foundation in 2001.

Format of competition will be System 36 with titles also at stake in other divisions of the event sponsored by Turf Company, Pacsports, and Kart Plaza.
