Esguerra, Big J laud B-League
MANILA, Philippines - Two prominent sports personalities in the country are extending their full support and praise as well as the creation of the new National Collegiate Billiards League now popularly known as B-League.
Hermie Esguerra, a well-known businessman/sportsman, lauds the fast rising new billiards league which is organized for a cause particularly uplifting the image of the sport of billiards as a truly institutionalized collegiate game for every potential students nationwide.
“This is a real grassroot program. I would like to commend Perry Mariano and Reli de Leon in their effort to establish a billiards league that is truly prestigious, meaningful and ambitious for young generation of pool players. This marked an inedible sign in world map of sports that the Philippines is serious in maintaining its status as a powerhouse to reckon with,” said Esguerra.
Basketball living legend and former Sen. Robert Jaworski shares the same good impression for the B-League’s imminent success likewise giving his hands to provide sort of inspiration and discipline for the young breeds of pool aces who are the future of Philippine billiards.
Jaworski, who graced the colorful opening of the collegiate billiards league in Manila Ocean Park last November, is so impressed the way B-League is going to the right direction to success and is optimistic it will go a long way for the good of sport.
