DLS-Dasma clinches last berth in NCRAA
MANILA, Philippines - Paolo Alcaraz hit a triple with 1.5 seconds left as La Salle-Dasmarinas edged Philippine School of Business Administration, 81-80, to clinch the last berth in the 18th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the Ugnayang La Salle gymnasium in Dasmariñas, Cavite recently.
Alcaraz’s game winner highlighted his 25-point output for the Patriots, who thus joined early qualifiers Philippine Merchant Marine School, Olivarez College, Rizal Technological University, Colegio de Sta. Monica and PATTS College of Aeronautics into the next round.
The Patriots will take on the RTU Thunder when action resumes on Jan. 11. The CSM Cougars will meet the PATTS Sea Horses.
The PMMS Mariners, who blasted the Blue Thunder, 93-75, took the top seeding in the six-team semis cast with a 6-1 slate.
