Libiran cops ABC bowler-of-year plum
MANILA, Philippines - Boyet Libiran of Crown Supreme Pipes captured his second Bowler-of-the-Year award while Romi de Jesus of Concrete Ventures won the Most Improved Bowler plum in awards ceremonies at the Architects Bowling Club’s Christmas Party Saturday at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City.
Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables dominated the annual championship for the second consecutive year with 2710, beating Noel del Rosario of Unitec Pipes (2697) and Eugene Panaguiton (2581) of Ta-tong in Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Nation and Boysen Paints.
Joey del Rosario of American Wires scored 1863 to grab the Group 2 crown as he outsteadied Sandra Enriquez (1841) of Medwest Tech. Institute and Johnson Villanueva (1821) of Crown Pipes. Edna Beltran of Boysen Paints took the Group 3 title with 1312, beating Kathlyn Ong (1274) of Ta-tong and Zeny Prudente (1228) of Famcor.
The 2011 ABC season starts Jan. 4, at 6 p.m., at thee Green Valley bowling lanes in Pasig.
The event is backed by DN Steel, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout, Crown Pipes, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Duraflex, Euro Dach, Atlanta Tiles, SP&A Const., Hocheng Phils, Universal Tech/Pansun, Emerald Vinyl and Firefly-Royu.
