Pagunsan, Lascuna eight shots down

MANILA, Philippines - Juvic Pagunsan and Tony Lascuna slowed down with a pair of 71s to drop to joint 23rd midway through Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open still paced by Kuboya Kenichi of Japan at the Phokeethra Country Club in Cambodia yesterday.

Lascuna bogeyed the final hole on No. 9 for a 36-35 card while Pagunsan blew a solid two-under start after six holes with a triple-bogey 7 on No. 7 to finish with a similar 36-35 round for a 140.

Michael Bibat shot a five-under 67 to join Lascuna and Pagunsan and eight others in 23rd while Artemio Murakami stood in 33rd with a 141 after a 68.

Mars Pucay also made it to the weekend play at 143 after a 71.

Kuboya sustained his form and fired a 67 to remain on top with a 132, two clear off Thai teener Atiwit Janewattananond, who had a 68 for a 134 while Kim Hyung-sung of Korea and Adam Groom of Australia shared third place at 134 after a 65 and 66, respectively.
