Mariners rip PATTS five, nail 5th in row

-

MANILA, Philippines - Elmer Moradas and Brylle Orog showed the way for the Philippine Merchant Marine School Mariners as they subdued the PATTS College of Aeronautics, 81-71, yesterday in the 18th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) men’s basketball tournament.

Moradas drilled in 29 points, while Orog banged in 15 for the solo-leading Mariners, who went on to claim their fifth straight win at the Olivarez College gymnasium in Sucat, Parañaque.

The Mariners moved two notches ahead of the Colegio de Sta. Monica Cougars and the Rizal Technological University Blue Thunder, which both have similar 3-1 records in this cagefest supported by Mikasa and Molten Balls.

The CSM Cougars caught up with the RTU Blue Thunder after they demolished the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Vanguards, 85-51.
