Encinares tops Signalympics 3-K

MANILA, Philippines - Smart Communications senior engineer Ellen Encinares topped the 3K run in the women’s division to lead the winners in the recent AFP Signalympics sportsfest.

Smart employees also served as donors during a blood-letting event held in conjunction with AFP Signal Corps Diamond anniversary celebrations.

“Smart’s constant support to AFP contributes to the overall effort of AFP Signal Corps mission accomplishment,” said Brig. Gen. Elmir Dela Cruz, Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications, Electronics, and Information System (CEIS). 

Smart works with the Signal Corps in providing electronic communication and Information technology services to the entire AFP as well as supports its CEIS in providing reliable wireless communication services to far-flung communities especially in times of unfortunate events. 

“Our employees participated in the AFP Signal Corps anniversary celebration to develop camaraderie with our partners in the AFP. Developing a strong relationship with our AFP counterparts makes collaboration easier and more efficient,” shared Smart external relations manager Jose Rosete.
