Blue Thunder rip Patriots

MANILA, Philippines - The Rizal Technological University Blue Thunder clobbered the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Patriots, 100-75, in the 18th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Olivarez gym in Sucat yesterday.

Mark Trinidad shot 20 points as the Blue Thunder posted their second win in the three games to stay in contention for one of six berths in the second round of the cagefest backed by Mikasa and Molten Balls.

The PATTS College of Aeronautics Sea Lions pace the field with a 3-0 card, including their 81-71 victory over the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Vanguards.

The Blue Thunder dominated the final period with Amerasian Darrell Green, Kenneth Valasote and Thomason Washington combining for the team’s decisive 16-2 run for an 83-62 bulge with less than five minutes remaining.
