Jalandoon, 2 others top ABC bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Denis Jalandoon of Ta-tong turned in a six-game series of 1237 to top Group I while Ruben Mina of Duraflex and Cora Adivoso of ProActive Pest Control took the Groups 2 and 3 crowns in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Bibs Luzande of Unitec Pipes scored 1221 and Walter Villanueva of Crown Pipes made 1155 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Nation and Boysen Paints.

Mina topped Group 2 with a 1093, beating Albert Ong (1072) of Boysen Paints and Tony Naval (1045) of Crown Pipes while Adivoso lorded it over the Group 3 field with a 908, defeating Ricky Martinez (886) of Concrete Ventures and Zeny Prudente (880) of Famcor.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by DN Steel, SP&A Const., Boysen Konstruct/Virtuoso, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ABC Phils., Euro Dach, Atlanta Tiles, Philflex Wires and Cables, Hocheng Phils., Universal Tech/Pansun, Medwest Tech. Inst., Emerald Vinyl, American Wires and Firefly-Royu, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the quarterly championship, also at the Green Valley lanes.
