Ford Focus-TRS rules PPCC races

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Ford Focus-TRS racing team reasserted its supremacy in the second leg of the Philippine Production Car Championship at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

Top Driver Challenge winner Alvin Ng and Singaporean Marcus Wong displayed grit and determination in Races 5 and 6 as they captured separate victories for the Ford Focus-TRS Racing team. With their feats, the team firmed up its hold of the 1-2 spots in the points tally this season. Both Ng and Wong struggled early in both races as they endured five lead changes throughout.

Ng was able to overtake on the last lap to claim the top prize in Race 5 with Wong behind him to secure the 1-2 finish. On Race 6, Wong has a near-perfect performance as he controlled the top spot most of the way to hand the team the season’s points lead. The team is supported by Ford Racing, Castrol, Goodyear Racing, Standard Insurance, OMP, Discovery Suite, Coke Zero, Oakley, Aguila Auto Glass, DC Shoes, 3M, Business World, C! Magazine, Fremuff, Dupont, Starbright Bodykits, Ultra Racing, Speedlab, Toptul, Rota Wheels and Weapon R.

Coming from their GT championship win, the Ford Focus-TRS Racing aims to finish with another winning milestone when the PPCC concludes in January 2011.

“We had a fantastic year with the new car and our driver roster, we have basically won almost all of the competition we joined this year including the lateral Drift competition and in the Karting Super Series. Winning the PPCC will be such a blessing and tribute to the performance of the Team and the Ford Focus 1.8,” said JP Tuason, the multi-awarded race car driver and founder of Tuason Racing School.
