Rotary International to hold Ecorun

MANILA, Philippines - The Rotary International District 3810 will hold the “ECORun 2010, Run For A Cause” on Dec. 12 at the Phil. Army grounds in Taguig to raise funds to promote the preservation of the ecosystem.

Events on tap are 3K, 5K, 10K and 15K with entry fee pegged at P350, inclusive of singlet uniform and race bib.

“The organizers will be donating one tree for each participant. We plan to plant the trees from Manila to Cavite and also in Infanta, Quezon as part of the reforestation project in these areas,” said District Governor Tranquil Salvador, also the overall chairman of the event.

Registration is ongoing at the Glorietta Robinson’s Malate, Market Market in Forth Bonifacio, Ever Gotesco Commonwealth, Festival Mall Alabang, R.O.X. and at the SM Mall Of Asia, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Bicutan and SM Dasmariñas, Cavite. 

Rotary Club Malate Prime, led by Global president Annelyn Quiza of Rotary Club Malate Prime, and RC Pasay Silangan, headed by GP Joi Enriquez, are joining hands with RID 3810 to stage the event backed by the De la Salle Health and Sciences Institute, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine National Police and Philippine Sports Commission.
