Nepthy, Jalandoon, Martinez rule ABC tilt
MANILA, Philippines - Nepthy del Rosario, Ryan Jalandoon and Ricky Martinez rolled big games to rule their respective divisions in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.
Del Rosario of Boysen Konstruct fired a six-game series of 1273 to beat Romi de Jesus (1266) of Euro Dach and Jun Cheng (1250) of SP&A for the Group I crown in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Jalandoon, on the other hand, scored 1230 as the Philflex mainstay turned back Paul Ayson (1106) of Crown Pipes and Ruben Mina (1058) of Duraflex to pocket the Group 2 plum.
Martinez of Ta-tong dominated Group 3 with a 985, beating Edna Beltran (984) of Boysen Paints and Dong Concepcion (981) of Pro Active Pest Control.
Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Unitec Pipes, Firefly-Royu, American Wires, Emerald Vinyl, Medwest Tech. Inst., Universal Tech/Pansun, Hocheng Phil., Atlanta Tiles, ABC Phils., DN Steel, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., Boysen Knoxout/Virtuoso, Famcor and Concrete Ventures, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the leg circuit championship at the Playdium bowling lanes on G. Araneta Ave., Quezon City.
