Fil-Chinese vets dominate goodwill series

MANILA, Philippines - Four-time MVP Alvin Patrimonio led a seniors team from the Filipino-Chinese Veterans Basketball Association beefed up by former PBA players Benny Cheng, Johnedel Cardel and coach Leo Austria in a two-day President Cup goodwill series in Tao Yuan City in Taiwan recently.

The team, which dominated the series organized by the LaoMA Basketball Association, was supported by the FCVBA president Lucio Tan Jr. and Alfonso “Achit” Kaw.

The officials and members of FCVBA were Alfonso Kaw, team manager; Richard Lim, secretary; Lawrence Chong, coach; Alcindor Uy Kaw, Cardel, Cheng, Jose Miguel Santa Maria, Alcindor Uy Kaw, Austria, Patrimonio and Kuo Kuang Chang.
