Boysen Konstruct tops Sponsor Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Nepthy del Rosario, Albert Ong and Edjing San Juan of Boysen Konstruct defeated top qualifier Crown Pipes Supreme, composed of Boyet Libiran, Paul Ayson and Johnson Villanueva, 593-534, and 556-524, to capture the Architects Bowling Club’s Sponsors Cup finals at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Boysen Konstruct first eliminated No. 2 qualifier Boysen Paints, made up of Jerry and Jeffrey Cham and Greg Mare, 563-521.

Crown Pipes Supreme, Boysen Paints and erstwhile leader Universal Tech./Pansun placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Philflex Cables scored 1127 to cop the Group 2 crown with SP&A Construction pooling a 1068.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Unitec Pipes, Firefly-Royu, American Wires, Emerald Vinyl, Medwest Tech. Inst., Hocheng Phils., Atlanta Tiles, Euro Dach, Ta-tong, Duraflex, ProActive Pest Control, ABC Phils., Supreme Pipes Corp., Crown Pipes, DN Steel, Famcor and Concrete Ventures, resumes at 5 p.m. today for the AGC (golfers) and 7 tonight for the other ABC and Sponsors members with the staging of the monthly championships, also at the Green Valley lanes.
