MANILA, Philippines - A business class ticket to US and a four-night Asian cruise will be staked as hole-in-one prizes in the Highlands Ladies Cup which unfolds Nov. 20 at Tagaytay Midlands in Tagaytay.
Delta Air Lines is putting up the round-trip ticket prize to the US West Coast while Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas offers a four-night Asian tour for aces on No. 17 of the up-and-down layout.
If nobody scores a hole-in-one, the Asian cruise prize will be raffled off among the participants, according to the organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter.
Around 150 players are seeing action in the fifth staging of the annual18-hole tournament, which will have a shotgun start and will be played under the System 36 scoring format.
Also up for grabs are prizes for the top finishers in various divisions of the event, backed by CATS Motors as platinum sponsor, and W Tower, San Miguel Corp. and Unilever as gold sponsors.
Security Bank, H&E Mfg, Splash Mfg Corp., Bingo Bonanza, Pilipinas Shell, Comworks, Inc., SM Retail, Baron Travel/Renaissance Cruise Line are the silver sponsors while Regent Travel, Concrete Masters, Philippine Air Lines, Bizu, Kawsek Inc., C2, Hidden Springs, Kaiser Intl Health Group, Pisanti, Rosalie Heo, Mayenne Varua, Karen Buenaventura, Holland Blooms, Red Ribbon, Burlington Socks and Contempo Design are the bronze sponsors.
Felix Ang, president of CATS Motors, the exclusive distributor of Mercedes-Benz, the event’s major sponsor; Willie Ocier, vice-chairman of Belle Corp., and Sandy Romualdez, Highlands sports captain, will hit the ceremonial drives.
The event also serves as a fund-raiser for the Sisters of Mary boys and girls
town complex in Silang, Cavite as part of THLC’s social commitment.
