Kelly eyes win No. 5 in URCC XVIII

MANILA, Philippines - Eric Kelly of Yaw Yan Ardigma goes for his fifth straight victory in the Universal Reality Combat Championship-Colt 45-URCC XVIII as he takes on Nate Flores of Predator Combat/Konflikt for the vacant featherweight crown set Nov. 13 at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City.

Noted for his striking and ground fighting skills, Kelly is slightly favored to beat Flores in the event co-presented by Colt 45 and Tribal Gear. Kelly, the No. 1 contender, and Flores will be slugging it out for the title vacated by Ali Khatibi.

But Flores is no pushover. Considered as one of Saipan’s top mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters, Flores, a campaigner in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) circuit, is seeking his fourth win in five matches.

The 10-fight event dubbed as “Relentless” also features the title bout between BRAWL’s Jerry Legaspi and Froilan Sarenas of Submission Sport in the middleweight class of the event backed by Alaxan FR and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
