Sy, Sabater, Sison top ABC
MANILA, Philippines - Ron Sy, Tony Sabater and Vic Sison rolled big games to fashion out victories in their respective divisions in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.
Sy, of SP&A, fired a six-game series of 1329 to beat Dante Manglicmot (1264) of ProActive Pest Control and Hermie Prudente (1253) of Firefly-Royu for the Group I crown.
Sabater scored 1127 as the Boysen’s mainstay turned back Johnson Villanueva (1100) of Crown Pipes and Cynthia Tan (1082) of the Atlanta Tiles for the Group 2 plum in the weekley event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Sison, of Philflex Wires and Cables, annexed the Group 3 title with 928, beating Zeny Prudente (877) of Concrete Ventures and Edna Beltran (811) of Boysen Virtuoso.
Action in the event, backed by Famcor, DN Steel, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout, Supreme Pipes Corp., ABC Phils., Duraflex, Ta-tong, Euro Dach, Hocheng Phils., Universal Tech./Pansun, Medwest Tech. Inst., Emerald Vinyl, American Wires and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 6 tonight with the staging of positioning and finals of Sponsors Cup, also at the Green Valley lanes.
