Thais challenge Viloria, Mayol, Cuello at Battle at the Bay 5

-

MANILA, Philippines –  Brian Viloria is expected to face a stiff challenge as he takes on tough Thai rival Liempetch Sor Veerapol in the main bout of Boxing at the Bay 5: Friday Fight Fest on Nov. 5 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Sor Veerapol, a slugger with a fight card of 19 wins, seven losses and one draw, is said to be “a kill or be killed” type of fighter who knocked out most of the opponents he defeated.

In his last win, Sor Veerapol knocked out Lookrak Kiatmungmee three seconds into the match. Kiatmungmee was already sprawled in the canvas before the Thai crowd managed to get to their seats.

Viloria climbs the ring with a fight record of 27 wins against three losses.

Denver Cuello (24-4-6, 14 KOs) will see action, facing Kongkracha Kiatpracha (17-11-0, 11 KOs).

Cuello last fought on Sept. 25 when he defeated Muhammad Rachman from Indonesia.

Kiatpracha is a tough customer who also has knockout power. However, the visitor has a questionable chin.

Also fighting in the undercard is former WBC lightweight champion Rodel Mayol (26-5-2, 20 KOs). He will go up against Pompetch Twins Gym (14-2-0, 4 KOs).

The Thai is a tactician who uses speed and body movement to frustrate his opponents. Twins Gym will be a tough opponent for Mayol because the Filipino power puncher prefers opponents who are sluggers like him.

Tickets are P300 for general admission, P500 for ringside, and P800 for VIP tickets. General admission and ringside tickets come with a free ticket to the live airing of the Manny Pacquiao versus Antonio Margarito match on Nov. 14. VIP tickets buyers will get two free tickets. This event will be aired on SOLARtv on Nov. 7 at 12 noon and on Solar Sports also on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
