MCC chess set Saturday

MANILA, Philippines - The MCC 1850 below standard and active chess for kiddies and adults reels off on Saturday at Mang Inasal-Eton Mall branch opposite Robinson Galeria along Ortigas Avenue.  

The tournament features the kiddies 12-under and adults whose NCFP ratings are not over 1850. Both sections will apply the five round Swiss System.

The standard event will be held for two days and will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday while the semi-active chessfest will take place on Sunday at 10 a.m. Participants in each section (standard or active) will merge in the last two rounds.

The champion in the adult section will get P3,000 while the kiddie champ will receive P1,500.
