La Salle, NU clinch semis seats

MANILA, Philippines - La Salle edged Technological Institute of the Philippines, 64-63, while National U turned back St. Benilde, 71-66, to barge into the semifinal round in the seniors’ division of the eighth Fr. Martin Division II Cup at the San Beda gym over the weekend.

St. Francis of Assisi downed Jose Rizal, 73-66, and EARIST trounced University of the East, 85-77, in a pair of overtime victories to clinch the last two semis berths in this event.
