NCA derby on at Ynares
MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) stag derby circuit resumes tonight with the staging of the fourth leg featuring the country’s top gamefowl breeders and cockfighting aficionados vying for top honors at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Expected to field in their best entries are Romy Lim, Danny Mendoza, Boy Jiao, Lito Orillaza, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado, V. Sierra, T. Ranola, the Madlangbayan brothers, Bebot Roxas, Johnny Jalandoni, Patrick Antonio, Emil Chua, Ricky Valencia, Mayor Ellan Nagano, Jun Soriano, Elmer Nepomuceno, Arman Santos and Ricky Magtoto.
The event serves as the penultimate leg of the five-stage circuit which also stakes the NCA stage fighter of the year award.
The frontrunners for the coveted plum are Gerry Ramos, Mario Villamor, Iggy Arroyo, Arnold Mendoza and Efren Canlas, who all reigned in the first three legs of the circuit.
The final leg will be held Oct. 19, also at the Ynares arena.
