Fitness First riders rule team trial twice
MANILA, Philippines - The Fitness First Cycling Team pulled off back-to-back Team Time Trial victories as it dominated the Philippine Premier Cycling League’s race held at Macapagal Avenue in Parañaque and the Corratec Cycling Challenge held at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Area.
Fitness First riders clocked in 43:57 which was over a minute faster than the second-placed team to rule the cycling league race.
The team then followed up with another win in the Subic race, posting a winning time of 43:37 which was almost two minutes faster than the runner-up squad.
Mark Ellis, the captain of the cycling team, and country manager of Fitness First in the Philippines,was elated with the twin wins. “We’ve had a string of team time trial victories this year, and to have two consecutive wins as the second half of the 2010 season starts is amazing,” said Ellis.
