Assumption to hold golf fund-raiser

MANILA, Philippines – The Assumption Alumnae Association (AAA) will hold its annual fund-raising golf tournament on Sept. 27 at the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Laguna with proceeds to go to the Assumption mission schools in Baguio, Iloilo and Kauswagan.

A brand-new Vespa and cash prizes courtesy of Autohub, Lacson and Lacson Insurance Brokers, PLDT Global and Sevie Oliva will be staked as hole-in-one prizes in the tournament held in partnership with Starbucks.

Assumption grade school students Gabrielle and Samantha Marie Bruce, who have represented the Philippines in the US Callaway Junior World Golf, will hit the ceremonial drives with Assumption alumnae Tessa Prieto-Valdes as host.

Tournament fee is P2,500 for Sta. Elena members and P3,000 for non-members, inclusive of green fee, golf cart, lunch, raffle ticket and giveaways. Raffle tickets are pegged at P1,500.

Meanwhile, non-golfers willing to help the mission schools’ underprivileged students, are also encourage to avail themselves of the AAA 2010 golf tournament raffle tickets with prizes include round trip tickets for two to Europe, Lasik, Michael Kors and Kate Spade bags, Carrier air conditioners and gift certificates courtesy of Etijad, American Eye Center, Store Specialists, Inc., Concepcion-Carrier and Plantation Bay.
