Do or die for FEU, La Salle cagebelles

-

MANILA, Philippines - Top seed Far Eastern University and No. 4 La Salle dispute the last berth in UAAP Season 73 women’s basketball finals today in sudden death at The Arena in San Juan.

Gametime is at 4 p.m. with the winner facing defending champion Adamson in the best-of-three championship beginning Saturday.

Momentum is on the side of the Lady Archers, who are coming off their big 64-61 win over favored FEU last Saturday that forced today’s KO match.

Aracelie Abaca, who had double-double outputs of 16 points and 10 rebounds the last time, and Eileen Urieta (12 points, nine rebounds) are again expected to lead DLSU against FEU’s Raiza Palmera (15 points, seven rebounds) and Karen Columna (13 points, two assists).

The Lady Falcons clinched the first finals berth after demolishing Univ. of Santo Tomas, 92-79, behind MVP Analyn Almazan’s triple double (18 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists) last Saturday.
