Futkal-CFP XI tops challenge tilt
MANILA, Philippines - Futkal-Center for Possibilities bested 14 other teams to rule the Football for Good Challenge, a tournament for the less-fortunate kids and street children at La Salle Greenhills recently.
Composed of students from Tondo High School, the Futkal booters bucked the odds and turned back their rivals en route to victory in the tournament organized by the Henry V. Moran Foundation.
The Futkal team was backed by Center for Possibilities, Inc. (CFP), an NGO (non-government organization) that advocates care and solution for children with special needs and their families, headed by patron and founder Dolores Cheng.
The victory also assured the team of a spot in next month’s tournament and in the Football for Good Championships in December, also at the LSGH field.
