FEU, AdU belles seek title clash
MANILA, Philippines - After averting a sweep by Adamson and clinching the top seeding, the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws shoot for a finals berth against No. 4 La Salle in today’s UAAP Season 73 women’s basketball tournament Final Four at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Tams, who forced the Final Four stage with a pulsating 60-58 win over erstwhile unbeaten AdU in the last day of elims, seek this objective at 2 p.m.
The defending champion Lady Falcons, meanwhile, hope to rebound by booking a return ticket to the finale when they take on No. 3 University of Santo Tomas at 4 p.m.
Raiza Palmera (22 ppg, 4.4 apg) and Allana Lim (16.6 ppg, 10.5 rpg), the core of FEU’s second-round sweep and a leading 13-1 card, are again expected to carry the cudgels for the 2009 runners-up that’s determined to make it all the way this year.
