STI finishes NAASCU round at 2nd

Informatics downed San Sebastian-Cavite, 67-57, while AMA Computer U trounced Lyceum de Subic Bay, 86-76, to wind up fifth and seventh places with 7-4 (win-loss) and 6-5 records.Jan Baltazar shot 15 points while Mark Montuano chipped in 14 to pace the Icons while Mark Mangalindan, Jonathan Ibarra and Raymond Alvarado led the Titans with 17, 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Centro-Escolar U (8-3) Our Lady of Fatima U (7-4), San Sebastian-Cavite (6-5) and New Era U (5-6) are tipped to advance to the eight-team second round.
Out of the race are LSB (4-7), St. Clare (2-9), PLP (2-9) and University of Makati (0-11).
