Libiran tops ABC President's Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Boyet Libiran of Crown Pipes scored 1289 pinfalls to complete a come-from-behind win over ABC president Noel del Rosario, who rolled 1263, in the Architects Bowling Club’s President’s Cup final at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Eugene Panaguiton and Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires, meanwhile, captured the doubles crown with 1680 in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Romi de Jesus of Concrete Ventures turned in a 1210 to place third while Boy Roldan of Universal Tech/Pansun and Buddy Segui of ABC Phils. placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the President’s Cup event.

Hermi Prudente of Firefly-Royu made an all spare game and won a one-month free bowling as bonus.

Kathlyn Ong and Prudente of Firefly-Royu had 1628, Ryan Jalandoon and Rony Sy of SP&A came up with 1626 and Romi de Jesus and Zeny Prudente of DN Steel made 1620 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in the doubles event.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Famcor, Boysen Paints, Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ProActive Pest Control, Duraflex, Ta-tong, Euro Dach, Atlanta Pipes, Philflex Wires and Cables, Hocheng Phils., Medwest Tech. Inst., Emerald Vinyl and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the monthly championship, also at the Green Valley lanes.
