Aboitiz holds Cebu race
MANILA, Philippines - The Aboitiz Group is staging the Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen on Aug. 22 at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.
The event, spread over 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K races, will cover the entire stretch of the SRP until parts of Talisay City. Assembly time is at 4 a.m. with the starting gun firing off at 5 a.m.
“We are not just promoting a healthy lifestyle, we want to leave a good home for the next generation,” said Sebastian Lacson, Aboitiz Equity Ventures chief reputation officer.
The fun run is part of the Aboitiz Group’s information campaign on its sustainability efforts. Under the company-wide Race to Reduce Challenge, all Aboitiz employees are encouraged to cut their power, water and paper consumption.
Runners for the 10K and 21K will use timing chips for accurate, instantaneous results..
