In This Corner features controversial bout

MANILA, Philippines -  The controversial bantamweight bout between Ryan Origenes and Daniel Ferreras serves as the mainer in tonight’s episode of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner from 7-8 p.m. on NBN-4.

The 10-round fight is presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol and Petron.

Ferreras and Origenes fought to a unanimous technical decision that was stopped in the seventh round after one of them suffered a severe cut caused by an accidental headbutt.

Seeing action in a six-round preliminary of the boxing card that was jointly promoted by Binan City Mayor LenLen Alonte Naguiat and former mayor Arthur Alonte together with Rod Nazario’s In This Corner Jaymart Toyco taking on Leonardo Talisic.
