LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – Elementary and high school athletes from four regions vie for honors in the three-day Milo Little Olympics-Northern Luzon starting today at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC).
Tess Bernardino, Milo sports director for Northern Luzon, said the participants are coming from the Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and the Cordillera regions.
Events on tap are athletics, badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, scrabble, sipa/sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and volleyball.
Playing venues will be at the NRSCC and other schools with satellite venues in Dagupan and Labrador town.
Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and Lingayen Mayor Jonas Castañeda will join Milo executives in the opening ceremony.
Side events are loudest cheer, best in saludo, most disciplined delegation, biggest delegation and cheer dance competition.
Miss Milo Little Olympics candidates will also be presented.
