PISCUAA 9th season under way
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Inter Schools, Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (PISCUAA) kicks off its ninth season at the Astrodome today with 10 teams vying for top honors.
The Philippine Merchant Marine School, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Unibersidad de Manila and Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology head the field, which includes Lyceum-Alabang, St. Dominic Savio College, National College of Business and Arts, Pamantasang Lungsod ng Pasig, Technological University of the Philippines and Asian Institute of Maritime Studies.
The opening rites will start at 11 a.m.
PISCUAA president Robert Milton Calo of TUP said Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chairperson Dr. Patricia Benitez-Licuanan will grace the event sanctioned by Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines.
