Burlington welcomes new PBA chairman
MANILA, Philippines - Pro league partner Burlington reiterated its support of the PBA’s outreach program and other social advocacies as it welcomed the early designation of B-Meg Derby Ace governor Rene Pardo as the new PBA chairman.
The officials of Burlington led by Ruddy Tan, its general manager, are looking forward to working with Pardo in bringing the league to greater heights particularly in its development program.
“We congratulate the new PBA chairman and we are solidly behind him in serving our basketball fans, “ said Tan.
“We are more than willing to assist him specially in the outreach programs of the professional league,” added Tan whose firm also manufactures BioFresh antimicrobial powder and spray.
The PBA and Burlington are longtime partners ever since the leading hosiery company committed to back the league’s cage school on air with Norman Black in 1986.
The program was cited by Catholic Mass Media Awards, Philippine Sportswriters Association and the Sports Communicators Organization of the Philippines for its contribution to youth and sports development.
The two organizations are also behind the Batang PBA tournament and basketball clinics for boys 12 years and under.
