Samsung Amateur tourney slated at Eastridge

MANILA, Philippines – Samsung laptops and water-proof cellular phones and a P100,000 cash prize are up for grabs in the Samsung Amateur Golf Open on July 21-22 at the challenging Eastridge Golf Club course in Binangonan, Rizal.

The field will be contending in five different handicap brackets in the men’s division and three in the ladies with the winners all winning the hi-tech mobile phone which is one of the most in-demand models of Samsung.

Handicaps are just for classification, however, as the 36-hole competition is scratch in all brackets.

In the men’s division, the championship group is for those with handicaps of 0-3.9, Class A for 4 to 8.9, Class B for 9 to 14.9 , Class C for 15-21.9 and Class D for 21 and above. In the ladies side, Class A is for 0 to 8.9, Class B for 9 to 19.9 and Class C for 20 and above.

Aside from the phones, participants can also win a Samsung notebook and P100,000 cash for a hole-in-one feat.
