AdU, DLSU try to remain joint leaders

-

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson and La Salle take on separate opponents today, looking for victories and a share of the lead in the UAAP men’s basketball tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

The Falcons held off the National U Bulldogs, 60-54, over the weekend to join the three other teams that hurdled their opening day assignments in Season 73 of the country’s premier varsity league.

But they are up against an Ateneo team that has beaten them in their last 25 meetings spanning 13 seasons.

Gametime is at 2 p.m.

Like Adamson, La Salle is going for its second straight win as it plays NU at 4 p.m. Led by skipper Simon Atkin’s 20-point effort, the Archers overpowered the State U Maroons, 80-62, to jumpstart its title campaign.
