MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading riders clash again tomorrow as they vie for top honors in Round 8 of the NAMSSA Philippine National Motocross Championships at the Speedworld Circuit at SM Bicutan.
The day-long races will fire off at 9 a.m.
Members of the Philippine MX team and its national riders, who competed in the Valderama International Supercross Chamiponships in Antique recently, will fight it out in the event sanctioned by NAMSSA, which is affiliated with the Philippine Olympic Committee and the sole legitimate organizers of two-wheel racing events.
NAMSSA is also affiliated with the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).
NAMSSA is the sole body to have ever organized international and national sports racing events in the past 15 years of two-wheel races with international safety standards. It recently hosted the FIM Asia Championships Supercross series with over 10 countries taking part in the event aired over ESPN and Star TV.
The Speedworld circuit, meanwhile, has been home for the RP MX squad with the events serving as qualifiers for berths in the national team set to compete in various FIM events in Iran, UAE, US and Indonesia.
NAMSSA is also in search of the top three best motocross riders who will represent the country in the Olympics of Motocross, the FIM Motocross of Nations, slated in September in Denver, Colorado.
