Runnex holds QCIM

MANILA, Philippines - The Executive Runners Club of the Philippines (RUNNEX) will be holding the Quezon City International Marathon (QCIM), envisioned to become one of the Philippines’ biggest sports events, on Dec. 5.

The QCIM will be the most important event of its kind in the country, a spectacle involving the best marathon men and women in the Philippines and in the region. The event is expected to bring in about 12,000 runners, including celebrities, executives, and local and foreign participants. The marathon will showcase Quezon City as one of the country’s best places to work, reside, and to play in.

The route of the marathon will cover some of the most important government, business, education and entertainment centers in Quezon City - Eliptical Road, UP Diliman Campus, Commonwealth Avenue, La Mesa Ecopark, ending at Quezon City Hall.

The QCIM will be different from other marathons held in the country as it will also serve as a travelogue of the city founded by and named after the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth.

The Executive Runners Club of the Philippines will be holding this second Quezon City International Marathon in cooperation with the Quezon City local government.
