American Wires tops ABC Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Ritz Diaz, Joey del Rosario and Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires combined for 2813 pinfalls to emerge the top team in the Architects Bowling Club’s sixth week of Sponsors Cup at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig last week.

Manny Padit of Philflex Wires copped the bowler of the week plum by rolling a four-game series of 877.

Meanwhile, Universal Tech/Pansun, composed of Lino Diamante, Boy Roldan and Rocky Borja, remained on top with 16082 while Boysen Konstruck and Boysen Paints pooled 15944 and 15799, respectively, after six weeks of competitions in the event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Rounding up the top 10 teams are Crown Supreme Pipes (15713), Philflex Cables (15382), Medwest Inst. (15382), Crown Pipes (14456), Firefly-Royu (14448), ABC Phils. (14430) and Nation Paints (14413).

Action in the event, backed by Unitec Pipes, SP&A Const., Emerald Vinyl, Hocheng Phils., Atlanta Industries, Toto, Euro Dach, Ta-tong, Duraflex Wires, ProActive Pest Control, Supreme Pipes Corp., Boysen Knoxout/Virtuoso, Famcor, DN Steel and Concrete Ventures, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the all events doubles, also at the Green Valley lanes.
